i’m bored at work half the time, and what keeps me sane and entertained is all the wonderful blogs out there. i figure i should give back to the blog community. i used to just write about interior design stuff, but i am so much more than that! this new blog will consist of interior design, beauty, fashion, photography, etc…. all the wonderful things that interest this modern girl, and hopefully, all the thousands of modern girls (some boys) out there… especially the ones that are too lazy to work, i mean, bored at work.

You’re Invited to Best Buy on Black Friday for a Behind-The-Scenes Experience
Friday, November 23rd (a.k.a. Black Friday) is the busiest shopping day of the year and the day for shoppers to get great deals.
Best Buy spends months preparing for this day – from training staff to offering deep discounts to making sure shoppers in line throughout the night are having a fun experience. Activities have included games, giveaways, free coffee and doughnuts and Best Buy BlueShirt employees walking the lines to answer questions.
We’d like to invite you and your blog readers to get a behind-the-scenes look at Black Friday at Best Buy. You’ll be able to blog live at the event and take photos and video.
The following pages describe in further detail the timing, exclusive opportunities offered and what to do next.
Please respond quickly to express your interest in attending and reserve your Best Buy store for the event – stores will be scheduled on a first-come basis.
What is Black Friday like at Best Buy?
• Each Best Buy store offers deeply discounted sales on select products
• Line begins to form on Thursday night with thousands of consumers arriving between 10:00 PM – 4:00 AM to reserve their spot in line including whole families and groups of friends
• Between 10:00 PM and 4:00 AM, Best Buy BlueShirt employees are busy inside the store stocking key products, updating prices, going through practice runs to simulate having hundreds of customers rush into the store asking questions, and having some behind-the-scenes fun
• Television, radio and newspaper media attend to document the events
Black Friday Details
Date: Friday, November 23, 2007
Time: We recommend that the bloggers come between 4:00 AM – 4:30 AM to ensure enough time for a behind the scenes preview and to interview shoppers in line.
• 10:00 PM (Thursday): Line begins to form
• 10:00 PM – 5:00 AM: Line grows tremendously
• 4:00 AM – 4:30 AM – Recommended time for the blogger to arrive
• 5:00 AM: Store opens
• 7:00 AM: Most activity dies down by 7:00 AM.

Costs:
• There is no cost to attend this event
• Best Buy will provide a blogger with up to $400 in reimbursements for related travel expenses (transportation or hotel costs only)
What Best Buy is Offering You and Your Blog on Black Friday
Gain behind-the-scenes, exclusive opportunities to a Best Buy store where you will be offered the following:
1. Entry to the store between 3:00 AM -4:30 AM to witness setup, pre-opening drills and talk with BlueShirt employees
2. Opportunity to take photos and video both inside the store and of the line outside
3. Be a part of the Black Friday line activities
4. See the great door busters and deals for the holiday season
5. Opportunity to blog live from the event
6. Opportunity to meet and speak with members of traditional media also attending (TV, radio, newspaper)

How to Participate
If you are interested, please contact us no later than Friday, November 16th at 6:00 PM to reserve your blog’s spot and select a store location (list on following page). Your survival kit will be sent on Monday, November 19th. In your response please include your name, phone number, address, and which store you will attend for black Friday.
